It seems that they are going to set up Sylar as an Anti-Hero.
Every good comic needs one no ne cest pas? Apparently they are going up against a being who is even more of a threat than him.
Yet he is still alive. Isn't that rather interesting. That is obvious that his role isn't complete.
As well he might finally have gotten over the hunger, and if that happens that would definitely put him as a person they would want on their side, especially with Peter out of action as now.
Not only that there's much more to his power than we've been introduced too. All we've seen is the Sylar who eats brains and uses that to use other powers, but we haven't seen what else his power of being able to understand how things work work.
It may soon evolve into a form like Peter's powers were he won't even need to have physical contact in order to use it.
