that was a good episode but its like what the hell is happening and dean trapping the demon and making that deal. its making me nervouus about whats going to happen next with his deal and stuff. and those previews for the next episodes and stuff wow stuff is going crazy and it looks like a blood bath. that one girl who said she saw sam die is the girl who was in smallville who dreamed about her uncle who was the evil red caped guy and clark was in her dream and stuff. and that myspace line was funny. myspace what is myspace huh myspace is that a porn site lol.

Overall, it was one of the better episodes. But it didn't live up to what I had hoped for it.

One thing it did show, as has been shown before, is how stupid these demons are. I mean, she had NO CLUE that he might have had a backup Devil's Snare in place?? I mean for God's sake, you caught the one underneath the car, so what do you do, you let him draw you into the one place that could provide another opportunity to get trapped. Although, in her defense, Dean has never been seen as the Einstein of the 2 brothers. But alas...

Is it just me, or has Sam kinda been given the "stay out of the way" treatment in 2 of the last 3 episodes? Week before last was the Dean & Jo Show and this week, Dean did the real dirty work (although his real motive behind it was quickly revealed). I guess they gotta change it up from time to time, but like Smallville is mostly about Clark and Lex, Supernatural is about Sam & Dean.

I forget the exact quote, but the line about Carly and what she's likes was funny, Dean - "... and they're real." And so were the ones on the female demon.

The MySpace stuff was really funny too.

Agreed about the highlights for upcoming episodes... that stuff about the "demon disease" looks pretty damn cool. And of course the big reveal about what John told Dean about Sam, before biting the big one.

Yeah. If you drool alot, it would form a puddle. Or if you were staring at someone like the female demon, it would form a pool.

Oh god, MySpace has invaded Supernatural. Oh dear lord. And MTV Cribs? It's like a sugar rush from the fourth circle of hell. Anyone else know that Satan was a diabetic? Yeah, he's a vegan, too, and loves the Two and a Half Men. Only in hell.

Hellhounds? Fabulous. Now all we need is Gozer and Bil Murray, and then we'd have a party. Ecto Cooler for everyone! Omens are like omelettes, except, like, erm, uh, omens need more salt, or something.

As said the great Dean Winchester, "I bet they could hump the crap out of your leg. What? They could." They could also tear you a new butthole. In fact, they could give you ten new buttholes. Hoorah feces! In Sweden, feces [poop] you! Gersh gurndy morn-dee burn-dee, burn-dee, flip-flip-flip-flip-flip-flip-flip-flip-flip.

Yes Dean, they're real, and real nice, too. Speaking of something that's real nice. Hello, cwh (cwh: "cwhats happening", or as I'm going to start calling it, kfa: "kinda [freakin'] annoying"). Nice to meet you. I'm Chase Murata, I'm a Cancer, drink a lot of water, and like my women without penises. Again, speaking of things without penises. Mark McGrath, again? And I guess it's better to contain Mark McGarth within the confines of a 2-minute CW segment, than hear his [crap]acular music blasting on the road in the car of Baskin Robbins, eating up the flavor of the month.

Dean, Dean, Dean. No negotiating with the terrorists, even pretty ones with a voice meant to cost me two ninety-five a minute. And with a few more bits of Latin and you would have torn her blouse off. You've gotta plan these things out, Dean.

So, the preview for the rest of the season was impressive. We're getting a virus, more of Jo and Co., and will finally be told what Papa Winchester said to Dead - about Sam. My guess as of now? That Sam is the son of Satan. Dunno, just putting that guess out there. No real logic behind it, just thinking about the most outrageous thing possible. We will see.

See you at the crossroads, my scalawags.

I've noticed that too and I don't like it I love Dean, don't get me wrong.. if I had to pick out of the 2 it'd definitely be him but now that I've seen all of S1 and all of the episodes so far from this season, I really have grown to love Sam. I love that they both can be so similar but at the same time so opposite... I really hope it goes back to more of the two of them and not this solo stuff...

Moving on... I liked this episode. Not sure if it's my fav. so far... I don't know if I have a fav. so far. I love that the demons here were pretty ladies Sounds about right...

I realized I don't have much to say or add about this eppy.

At first I didn't know what the heck it was about or what was outside trying to get at them... interesting though when I did find out. I really thought that Dean was going to make that deal with her to bring back J.W. I did think it was terrible when Papa Winchester died, but he'd be upset if Dean went and did that.

Didn't see much of the car in this one... actually I think I see it less and less now

                  Anyway... overall... cool episode.

I think it's mainly because the actor that plays Sam broke his arm and it looks like they are just trying to hide it on the show. But clearly, he can't do that much with his arm like that. So his character gets a bit pushed aside when it comes to physical stuff.

It does works for show, though. Blessing in disguise? Is their X-Files, temp writing Skully off the show to get abducted by aliens so that the actress could have her baby? Woah, I guess that really does make Sam = Skully!

Dean is clearly and deeply hurt that his dad is suffering in a horrible hell dimension just so that Dean wouldn't die. So I don't fault the character for distancing himself from Sam a wee bit. We all know Dean would give his life for Sam still, so no worries.

This episode had everything. The funny. (Dean thinking myspace was a porn site is already a classic.) Some nice scares. Plenty of drama. Suspense. Because I honestly could not tell whether Dean was going to take that deal or not. In fact, for a few tense moments, I thought he was going to do it.

I really liked the female demon. Not because she was hot. (I drool over the boys. ) But I really liked her attitude, evil but kinda playful.

And I loved how, when the hellhounds started growling, Sam jumped into the circle. Just goes to show that, no matter how much he's seen, this stuff can still scare the crap out of him.

As for the hiatus, I've chosen not to think about it.

I liked this episode and I agree with you Dannyblue1 for just a minute, I thought oh, crap he's actually gonna make the deal!

I really enjoyed the scene between Sam and Dean where Sam was telling Dean about being in the FBI database and then Dean asking "what do they have on you?" Sam looked embarrased that there was nothing on him, even jealous! And then Dean calling him an "innocent, harmless young man" - that was perfect!

And the clip for the episodes to come - AWESOME!! I can't wait for the new episodes to start.

                          Ok, I LOVED this episode!
It had everything: action, great lines, angst, the boys looking hot, everything.

We started off with teh light and funny (that whole scene in the restaurant is quoatable and Sam looked so gorgeous!), then the 'mySpace' (which seems to have already become legend!) moment--loved Sammy's little smirk at his brother over that, then we moved to the dark then darker then BLAM a cool twist that I didn't see coming (the second Devil's Trap; I figured Dean has a backup plan but that still surprised me).

                          And then the previews....Holy Crap!
I was literally sitting on the edge of my couch and nearly fell off during that final scene where we saw Dean confess to Sam about Papa Winchester's telling him the secret. Then they stopped! D***it!

A great, great episode that has totally jumped to the number 1 spot of my list for Season 2. And is sitting at the number 2 spot for best. Supernatural. Episode. Ever. for me of all eppies.

                          I really really loved it.

ok, except for one thing, one moment. In the end in the Impala when Sam is asking Dean if he was seriously thinking about making a deal with the Demon and trading himself and Dean doesn't answer but shifts his eyes away. Great moment but at the same time I wanted Sam to whack that boy with a spoon. I mean, here's Dean telling Evan "how do you think your wife would feel that you made this deal and died and left her alone?" but he doesn't think how his dear Sammy would feel if Dean did the same. exact. thing? Sheesh.
That bugged me. I wanted to reach through the screen and grab Dean and yell "hypocrite!" and "don't you even think about leaving Sammy alone with the guilt of having lost another person he loves, you stupid git!"

*ahem* anyway, other than that I loved it.

                          Great quote:
                          Dean: "You know about me?"
Demon chick: "Yeah, I get the newsletter."
Or whatever the exact line was.

Notice how the roles are exactly reversed from last season??

Middle towards end of last season, Sam was all hot to kill the demon, even if it meant giving up his life to do it [see: Home when he wanted to rush back into the burning house to go after the demon, but Dean held him back and told him he wasn't going to lose him (Sam) just because he was feeling angry and guilty].

Flash forward to now, Dean is mad/sad/upset that his dad gave his life to save his, and almost did the same to get his dad back.

Just seems like the roles are almost exactly the same, only reversed. Storylines differ a bit, but the overall roles of "desperate one" and "reasonable one" are the same, but again, reversed.

That was hilarious bro. I absolutely love your reviews and especially loved the Ghostbusters reference.

In regards to the episode itself, it was definately one of the best Supernatual episodes I have seen in awhile. I personally love the folklore about the crossroads and people making deals with the Devil. If anyone hasn't seen the movie Crossroads with Ralph Machio, I highly recommend it. One of my all time favorite films.

I really liked how this episode touched on what Dean was feeling over the death of his father, and how guilty he felt because of it.

Man, MySpace is everywhere now isn't it? I was suprised to hear it mentioned on Supernatural, but I loved the fact that they kept Dean old fashioned by having him not know what it is. I wouldn't have of expected anything else with his taste for 80's rock, etc.. His reaction to it, cracked me up.

I also agree that the preview for upcoming episodes looked fantastic. I especially liked the fact that they have Dean tell Sam what John said. That is one thing that has had me tuning in week in and week out. The main reasons why I watch the show are for the Winchester family/Demon mythology and Sam's ability and how it develops.

This season is starting to grow on me more. I still feel that S1 is the superior season, but only time will tell.
