God bless you! God bless everyone!
You have to admit that they spent too much time on Lana even if everyone did have those stupid love triangles going on. Lana had several arces while other supporting character only got one. Heck there was more Lana-centered eps than there was eps that focused on other supporting characters.
    Lana got:
    That witch/Jason storyline
Her exploration into the dark side when she was married to Lex and separated from him.
That time Lana Lang turned into a vampire.
The "I have superpowers now for real and it isn't temporary!" arc.
Not to mention the eps where she changes personality according to which boyfriend she has.

that's four character arcs, if you don't count the vamp storyline. Which I don't.

Let's see how the other characters stacked up in comparison.

Chloe got:being infected by Brainaic and being watchtower. That's two.

Pete got: Being the first to be let in on Clark's secret..... um that was it. just one thing for Pete. Unless you count the time he gained temporary superpowers but that whole ep was one big joke to both him and the viewers.

Lois Lane: Came in looking for her missing cousin Chloe, had a vital part to play in the red sun storyline where Zod's people nearly conquered the world. That's two story arcs she was a vital part of.

Kara: got only two character arcs in which she basically loses her memory and powers ALOT.

seeing the pattern? the main supporting cast gets one character arch if they're male, and two if they're female.
But oh, because Lana is so special she gets four character arcs running depending on the storyline. and they aren't really connected to each other in any way in terms of character development.

Chloe had her fantastic deal with Lionel arc and her trying to bring Lionel down arc. And her dealing with Clark's secret arc. She also had her meteor power arc. Chloe had about 5 storyline's with her. All spread out over multiple episodes. The Lionel arc was over a full season long. And Lana's personality didn't change. It was just the differences in the relationships and the effect they had on her. A lot people are effected differently based on their relationship with someone. Lana got put in the middle of love triangles because she was the main character's more prominent love interest, not because she was important.

God bless you! God bless everyone!
