I have been watching Veronica Mars since the pilot episode, and I love it. The thing is I really like the theme song but I don't know what it is. Do any of you guys know what the theme song is? I would really appreciate any help because it is driving me crazy! Thanks!

"Now Is the Time" by Damone playing at the fountain dedication during the second half of the Lily video when Veronica’s contribution to the video is being shown. My friend Alex maintains a listing for the music featured on the show - Music ListingComment

music in Echolls beating scene
Does anyone know what song was playing during that scene in which Aaron closed the door and started beating Logan? Veronica Mars makes some of the most interesting soundtrack choices of any show I've ever seen. I remember that being one of them.Comment

No problem, Skist.
I found the list at WatchVeronicaMars.com - Rob Thomas Online. It's a GREAT site for VM hard-to-find info (like all the songs used on the show) and a ton of audio clips (my personal favorite is this one).
MD - They're in negotiations right now to make an OST! Go to WVM.com, hit enter, click Veronica Mars, and then go to Frequently Asked Questions:
Will there be a Veronica Mars soundtrack album?
Yes. We're in negotiations now.
What will be on the Veronica Mars soundtrack?
We're not sure. Do we want a recap of season 1 or do we want to preview the music we will use in season 2. Many decisions to make.Comment

Best Music on Veronica Mars
Music plays a huge role on Veronica Mars... either just for the great background beat... the meaningful mood music... or the lyrics that practically become part of the dialogue. So what are your favorite songs and why?
We Used to Be Friends - Dandy Warhols (Theme Song & Lord of the Bling)
Reason - it is the theme songs... and it does fit so poignantly into the themes of the show. Additionally, the transition in the episode "Lord of the Bling" from Veronica's line about her friendship with Yolanda into the song is priceless.
Key Lyrics - A long time ago... We used to be friends but I haven't thought of you lately at all... If ever again a greeting I send to you... Short and sweet to the soul I intend... Come on now honey... Bring it on bring it on yeah... Just remember me when you're good to go... Come on now sugar... bring it on bring it on yeah... Just remember me...
Momentary Thing - Something Happens (Weapons of Class Destruction)
Reason - it was the moment that really hooked me to Veronica Mars... I wasn't anticipating it... it was a great moment in the VM world... even if you don't like Veronica & Logan together. The song lyrics became the unspoken dialogue between Veronica and Logan. And on my blog it did get rated the best TV kiss of the 2004/2005 season.
Key Lyrics - Is it nothing or less? We're holding on I guess... She's taking off her clothes again... Says 'let the whole world see.'... She's cutting off her hair again... Says 'this is all of me.'... After all... Well isn't this just a momentary thing... It's not like I expected it... Or any heavy thing... You shook me up I guess... Stiring me up yes... It's at the point of breaking down... Cause there's nothing left to say... I think you waste your sweetness... I think the whole thing blew away... It's not like I hoped... Not like I dreamed... Not like I prayed... and hoped for... dreamed... It's not like I'm hooked... I'm hooked... It's not like any heavy thing... We'll get along... After so long... We'll get along...
Such Great Heights - Postal Service (You Think You Know Somebody)
Reason - it's a fabulous song and a great cover of the song... see Garden State Soundtrack for a different cover. Veronica & Troy mention how great the song is as they are driving along... only for Veronica to be betrayed by him and close the episode listening to the song again.
Key Lyrics - I am thinking it's a sign... That the freckles in our eyes are mirror images... And when we kiss they're perfectly aligned... And I have to speculate... That God himself did make us into corresponding shapes... Like puzzle pieces from the clay... And true, it may seem like a stretch... But its thoughts like this... That catch my troubled head when you're away... When I am missing you to death... When you are out there on the road... For several weeks of shows... And when you scan the radio... I hope this song will guide you home... They will see us waving from such great heights,
'Come down now,' they'll say... But everything looks perfect from far away,
'Come down now,' but we'll stay...Last edited by yellowqueen22; 06-26-2005, 04:55 PM.Comment

It's so funny that when I first watched Veronica Mars and heard the theme song that I thought of the O.C. because it is on the 1st O.C. soundtrack. My favorite songs from Veronica Mars are Crimson and Clover (the song played at the end of M.A.D.) and Bad Boyfriend (played during the season finale). I will be a very bad girl and try to look for these songs places that I'm not supposed to look. Sorry, but I just can't see myself buying a whole cd for one song. Just can't do it. hehe Oh, I also love that song called Lilly carries on(?). It was played toward the end of Leave it to beaver. By the way, does anyone know if there is a site out there that has all of the music from Veronica Mars just like the Roswell site?Comment

ITunes has a Veronica Mars user compiled folder where you can download songs available to purchase on ITunes. I won't recommend anywhere else... as an entertainment law student I can't support illegal downloading.Comment
