Personally, I'd say Mortal is a better ep. I might be overating it because its been soooo long since Smallville has had an ep with decent 'continuity' in it.

Mortal, though Phoenix was really good. I loved Rutger Hauer's Morgan Edge. I didn't like his replacement (via plastic surgery).

Gotta love Pheonix. It was the part with green K and Clark having to cut his own arm...that was just too freaky.

But, I did enjoy Mortal a whole bunch. It was interesting to see Clark handle something so big without his powers.

Well for me Mortal is the best episode of the season so far,but Phoenix was great, I don't know they both were good, but I think that Phoenix may be a little better.

Mortal was great because of the continuity and "no secrets" policy. Phoenix was a VERY close second, though. The Clana break-up- priceless.

I thought "Phoenix" was great. It was a lot more drama. Clark had to deal with the consequences of him leaving and his coming back.
