^You're correct on that. They remembered everything about their Storybrooke days and the like when they arrived. It was only after the forgetting potion that they had forgotten anything about their EF return visit.

OK, so the problem still exists of how Hook made it back to Storybrooke by himself. If Zelena added the memory wipe to the Dark Curse cast by Snow & Charming, wouldn't Hook's mind have been erased like theirs? How would he even find out where Emma lived in New York? As far as I recall, he'd never been to her apartment there before.Comment

I think it's possible that he had an extra magic been lying around on his ship somewhere (unknown to Blackbeard) after they returned to Storybrooke. He has lied in the past, what if he lied about how many beans were actually left before they went to Neverland?
There's also the possibility that the magic bean itself can break the barrier between realms that Regina spoke about.

Hook probably found Emma the same way he found them in New York the first time when he paid Rumple a friendly visit. Whatever way that was. Maybe he has a magic compass like Jack Sparrow.Comment

Not a fan of the scene where they kill all those flying monkies. They're innocent victims that have been cursed by Zelena. Yet, our heroes have no problems killing them.
Nice to see the characters getting their memories back.Comment
