Remember last year when to celebrate the 50th anniversary BBC American did nonstop Who episodes and specials for a wk to celebrate? Its about to happen again. Starting this coming Monday morning, Doctor Who takes over BBC America. U will see episodes, specials and the tv movie An Adventure In Space and Time. It will go from Monday morning until Sunday afternoon when The Musketeers will reclaim the network.

Saturday evening will not only include the season premiere and the debut of Intruders starring John Simm, the only time besides BBC World News that Doctor Who will not air, but before the Who premiere will be the Doctor Who: Live Preshow which will run for about 15 mins. Following that is the season premiere called Deep Breath which will be 75 mins long! Intruders follows the Who premiere and once Intruders ends an hour long special called Doctor Who: After Who Live will air. Both pre and post specials r hosted by fellow Whovian Chris Hardwick. The preshow and premieres will repeat through the evening.

Oh and just found this out today. The Real History Of Science Fiction will FINALLY air the Time Travel episode this coming Saturday night to celebrate the new season of Who. Was wondering when that would happen since it didnt air when the other chapters aired.

Should be a very good week for us Who fans.

Btw did anyone else see the standing ovation Peter Capaldi received when the press tour stopped in Sydney?

Aint It Cool News reports a beheading scene for this week's episode has been excised. BBC felt in light of recent world events is was best to be sensitive and remove the sequence.

Makes sense and i commend them for being sensitive and showing compassion. Some fans and critics would no doubt have perceived such a scene as too soon considering what is going on in current events.

Aint It Cool News and Dark Horizons both report that BBC has confirmed next week's season finale Death In Heaven will run a full 60 minutes as opposed to the usual 45 minutes. Nice! Means we should get a big season finale that doesnt feel cut down or limited. Basically i think the season finale will be 75 to 90 minutes once u include commercials.

The guide on DirecTV just updated and it says next weekend's season finale will be 90 mins. Works for me!
