When Zoe Ball was introducing him she kept going on and I honestly thought she was going to say she was the new Doctor. Anyone else think that?

Like pretty much everyone here I'm delighted with the choice. Capaldi is fantastic, I've been a fan of his since the first episode if the Thick of It. Hope he stares at a Dalek so hard it explodes.

I kinda hope the outfit he wore for the reveal is kinda what he will wear as The Doctor.

I hope either go quite smart with his outfit. Or use the fact that Capaldi is an old punk and give it a slight punk influence. Not suggesting pins and a mohawk. But something Viv Westwood-inspired could be a lot of fun.
