As darkphoenix already said, the series is going to be primarily set in present-day, post-Curse Wonderland, which tells us two things:
1) Alice's Victorian Era London is not the past of our world (the Land without Magic)
2) Whatever happens in Storybrooke to serve as the crossover between this show and Once (in the trailer, we can see a shot of a seemingly abandoned Granny's Diner with a portal appearing in the middle of the floor), it's going to happen 'in real time'
