I have an idea for a new game that (I think) is truly unique. I can't recall ever seeing anything like it anywhere before. The message board format here on K-Site is perfect venue for a game like this. Frankly, I'm not sure it would even work anywhere else. It blends many of the games we already have (Who Am I? Where Is It? What is it? etc.) with a brand new component. The internet. The only thing limiting you is your own imagination. In other words, be as creative as you want to be. Here is how it will work...
First, you need to identify a category that your "correct response" will fall into. For example, if you're looking for "Jonathan Kent" then the category is: Person. If you're looking for "Talon Apartment" then the category is: Place. If you're looking for "Clark's football jersey" then the category is: Thing. Most everything you'll come up with SHOULD fit into one of these three categories but if it DOESN'T, please feel free to create a new category (just make sure people know what you're looking for).
Second (and here's the new twist), you'll need to provide clues. Unlike most games here on K-Site, you won't give "traditional" clues. You'll provide links to places online (keep it clean guys). Make sure that the link you use takes the players to a useful place. Links can direct players to photographs. Clipart. Youtube clips. Even audio clips. Use WHATEVER kind of media you need to to get your point across. For example, if I was trying to get someone to the answer of "Lex Luthor", I may link one of my clues to a picture of a stack of money. A bald guy. Maybe even a photo of a Porsche. One clue probably won't be enough to solve the question, but three (or more) in combination with each other WILL. I would ask that you use a minimum of three clues but if you have a particularly tricky question, please feel free to include 4, 5, or even 6 clues. The more clues you provide, the more likely your players will solve it. OK, I've rambled long enough. Time for an example of what this will look like:
Category: Person
Clue #1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyIxd...eature=related
Clue #2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAbHQdUg60Q
Clue #3: http://www.in.gov/isdh/images/1_lEAD.jpg
Who Am I?
OK, clue #1 should have taken you to a Youtube clip of the music from the movie "Psycho". What I wanted you to get from this clue is the idea of "crazy". Clue #2 should have taken you to a clip of the transporter from Start Trek. What I wanted you to get from that clue was the idea of "teleporting". Clue #3 should have taken you to a picture of an ad, spelling out the dangers of lead poisoning. Hopefully, the first two clues made you start to think of Alica Baker and the third confirmed it for you (because lead was the only thing preventing her from teleporting). See how this works? Make sense? I hope so. Now, let's try one for real...

*For future reference, if you have a photo stored on your hard drive you'd like to use and you'd like to upload it as one of your clues (rather than provide a link to someplace online), feel free to do that too.

**You may want to double-check that the links you use work. I just discovered that one of mine was non functioning. If that's the case, just link to a similar site that DOES work.
