I think this is definitely the strongest episode of the season to date. Definitely deserves a 10 & it kept my attention the entire time as almost all Supernatural episodes do. I'm glad I was right about Crowley lying to the Winchesters & how he really didn't have the power to get Sam's soul out or bring Samuel's soul down from Heaven.

Because of this, I'm still wondering about Samuel's deal & how the hell he did come down from Heaven. I think he made his deal with Crowley to get back Mary after he came down from Heaven. But the big question is who brought him down from Heaven? It must be an angel, but who?

They're also dancing closer to the possibility of Sam's soul turning demon. I love how they entertained the idea that not only Lucifer but Michael would also be tearing away at Sam's soul.

One thing I expected but it didn't happen yet was for Dean to tell Sam that if they bust his soul out of hell & it's all messed up, that they could have Castiel take it to Heaven to be healed or for Sam's soul to stay in Heaven & seperated from Sam's body for the rest of his life. If Sam could die, which I don't know is the case yet since he has no soul to reap, then he would eventually feel the pain of his soul, so it makes no sense to just leave it where it is.

I also loved the further exploration into Sam's lack of having a soul. I liked how they explored the more sadistic side of Sam, like him tearing his own arm open to make that devil's trap out of his own blood.

If Crowley could sneak into the Cage and pull out Sam's body, it sure seems like Michael ought to be able to release Adam and his soul if he wants to. I hope it will be revealed that that's what happened; it'd be nice to know that Michael isn't a total knob.

I loved every minute of Caged Heat. It definitely restored my faith in Season 6. I was also one of the funniest episodes all season. I simply love the teaser where we find out the fate of the Alpha-Skinwalker. The angel blade being used to kill hellhounds was also a pleasant surprise.

Not to mention I loved it when Dean ganked Demon Christian Campell

This episode was boring minus the Castiel scenes.

Killing off Crowley hopefully opens up to a more interesting second half of the season.

I was wondering about that angel blade. Did they ever get it back from Meg?

Well, I had always thought that the bright light that emitted out of Lucifer's cage when Lucifer and Michael fell done WAS Michael letting Adam's body and soul leave, thus Michael was vessel-less when he went down to Hell.

I hope this is true and we get some insight that Adam is okay, maybe from a conversation between Castiel and Dean(from the episode where we see what Dean did during that year) and would explain the subsitution of Adam throughout the Winchesters' and Castiel's conversations.

It was a brilliant episode, how anyone could find it boring is beyond me.
A few times this season I felt that the show was losing steam and overall I wasn't feeling it quite like season 5. I'm hoping that this episode is the turning point, with Crowley out of the way hopefully more interesting plot lines will start to come through.
The quality has always been there with Supernatural, but this season has so far been inconsistent on that front- fingers crossed it's building to something satisfying.

I thought that Crowley had all his bones returned to him by Sam/Dean in a previous episode? I guess Cas found Crowley's new hiding spot?

Gave this episode a solid 8.

Loved the start with the double Crowleys (guess they managed to capture the Alpha!Shifter after all?).

I totally noticed Corin's name in the credits and was all "Christian returns?"

Alpha!Rugaru and the talk with Crowley's errand boys. Youch!

Sam disappearing was so sudden, like when Angels and demons do it. For a minute I thought someone had snatched him or something. And why were they squatting in such a crappy place anyway? I know they sometimes squat for various reasons but they've never stayed in a place that bad before, that I can remember anyway. Just puzzled me.

Ah, Meg. Your lines would sound so much better coming out of Nikki Aycox's mouth.

Sam and Meg working together totally brought back Sam&Ruby memories and vibes to me. Anyone else?

Sam tricking Castiel with the plot to Raiders was funny. I can't believe he fell for that either. And then their confrontation was interesting.

Crowley is hidden from Cas? Interesting.

Samuel was dealing for Mary. And Dean saying not to bring her back--if someone said that about Sam he's ignore it. Why would he think Samuel wouldn't do the same?

Castiel and porn. Came outta nowhere and was deeply funny.

Meg has Ruby's knife? I didn't remember that happening?

And why is it that Meg's eyes didn't go black when Castiel was there? Ruby's eyes did, other demons' eyes do, when in close with an angel. Weird.

Cas telling Dean that Sam could come back broken (which I can't believe Dean and/or Sam didn't think of. Not to mention the epic guilt Sam would have over what his body has been doing since his soul's been in the cage). And Sam listening.

Ah, hellhounds. And Meg stuck in her body.

OK, the Cas/Meg kiss. I knew it was probably coming but still..

Samuel sending Cas away (did Sam show him the sigil trick? he must have because Samuel wouldn't have known it otherwise, right?), Christian torturing Meg (shades of Alastair and Ruby again), and Samuel's confrontation with Dean.

OK, when Sam started biting his own wrist? I thought two things:
1.) he's doing it to make the vamps in the building so crazy they break out and into his cell to get him. Then he can take 'em out and be free.
2.) I had a moment of "does he think it's going to power him up like demon blood?"

I was way off base with both. But how did Sam get up to the ceiling to draw the Devil's Trap? and when are these stupid demons going to learn to look up!

Dean saved Meg? I'm surprised he didn't shiv her right there on the table.

Crowley confirming Castiel's theory that Sam will be broken if his soul returns to his body, then the admission that he "can't" get Sam's soul out (if the King of Hell can't, who can?). The return of Cas, the bones (I totally thought Cas was bluffing!) and then I really fell over in shock when he burned them and Crowley was gone! (I'm sorry to see Mark go. Crowley was the best villain for the boys since Azazel, I thought.) But of course, this being SPN, dead doesn't necessarily mean gone forever....

Sam and Dean's talk over the Impala was touching but I was a little angry at Sam walking away like that. Course he doesn't have feelings right now so...

So Yeah, solid episode. We learned a lot, we explored some stuff, we didn't get any closer to freeing Sam's soul but...

I really don't understand people who vote for 1 or 4. This episode doesn't deserve that low when it was that good. Some people probably don't know good episodes when they see them =P

This is the best episode of the season so far IMO. 10/10

As Crowley points out, we've barely seen Castiel all season so it was nice to see him again! And LMAO at him watching porn ("Why is he spanking her? Perhaps she's been naughty.")

I also really liked Meg in this episode. The actress who plays her did a fantastic job. It's amazing that this show can keep a character around for so long. After all, Meg was introduced back in season 1. That's longevity.

And I have no idea what's going on with Samuel. What a jerk. His reasoning for betraying his blood was kind of faulty IMO

All in all it was a good episode, with humor sprinkled throughout (the Cas/Meg kiss was random, but perfectly acceptable: "I learned that from the pizza man")
