Too bad, Smallville episodes are sinking fast. Friday is definitely a lousy day but I don't think they'll change it. It's a good thing it got renewed before those numbers started showing up. I really do think season 10 will be it for our favorite show and that's not a bad thing, if it ends with a bang rather than a whimper.

It's inevitable with the preemption of New York, the largest market.

Wasn't the ratings higher than that just a few days ago?

The overnight rating counted people in NY who watched baseball, the final takes those viewers out.

Yeah, the preliminary figures include the sports fans, but in the finals the sports viewers get deducted, and the pre-empted viewers that watched later are added.

I read something a little different. I read that the pre-empted viewers can only be added back in if the pre-empted show airs on that day. New York people on here said that it did not air on Friday that it aired on Saturday. I may be wrong but I think it that case even if they watched on Saturday it would not count.

You're right, if it aired on Saturday, then those viewers will be counted only

1.892 million. Ouch. Well every season of SV has had a ratings drop in the back 3rd of the season. Season 9 is no different. Not that it matters- SV already has it's S10 pick-up. Still...ouch.
