I think that the TV show will try to be different from the book. Remember that in the book, Tyler was the "Werewolf". I think that Matt is the "Werewolf" here. He reminds me of Jacob from Twilight. He jumped through the windows quite fast. Bonnie is awesome. The actress is really good. Logan may be the Hunter. I think that Alaric is another vampire. So far, this has been a great episode.
