Since Hiro's dying, why doesn't he just go visit Claire and get some of her blood to heal himself? He is the one who put into motion for everyone to save the cheerleader, so Claire kind of owes him. Of course, if he didn't want to actually extract any of it, Claire did conveniently leave a whole pool of her blood on the sidewalk of her college campus.
