I sort of wanted the Elena who wanted to sink her teeth into Stephan the moment she saw him. This Elena's playing it a little to coy for me.

I agree. Elaina in the books was more strong headed and when she wanted something she went for it. Next to no hesitation and she was confident.

Not sure what I think of the show - watching on a whim, but I did get to see a Smallville promo. That makes me happy.

Hmm, so far so pretty good, perhaps a little familiar plotlines. I'm still getting a feel for the characters, but I'm already lost in His Hotnesses' eyes. Maybe it's that apparent hypnotic power in them.
