The pilot on the dvd set

The pilot on the released dvd set wasn't the longer aired one was it? The one that got that 70 min air slot on tv? I never saw this version and it doesn't look like the one on the dvd set was that longer version at all. Wouldn't it not have been 50 min or so long once you subtract the commercials?

If I remember correctly, the pilot on the DVD set was the unaired pilot. So, basically what they made to pitch the show to networks.
