On the DVD that Hiro is given after his father's death, Kaito speaks to Hiro, saying:
"I leave you with a sacred duty. You are now to be the sentinel of a dangerous secret. One that you must keep, as I and my father before me had done." - Kaito
I might be having a brain cramp, but wasn't the formula concocted by the ElderSupers, ie - Angela/Arthur Petrelli, Bob, etc., including Kaito himself...? If so, why would he say that his father had protected the secret? How far back does the company's history go?
